Arihiro Miyake is a Japanese-born designer currently residing in Helsinki. He holds a BA degree from the Kobe Design University, Japan and an MA degree from the University of Art and Design, Helsinki. In 2004, Arihiro established his own design studio, Studio Arihiro Miyake, in Helsinki, Finland. The studio specializes in interior and product design. Arihiro describes his approach to design like an investigator: always in searching and discovering new materials and technological solutions. Ballerina is a new floor lamp presented at the last FurnitureFair in Milan: its giant body consists in a multitude of whitePVC discs with an internal structure in metal.
