The industrial aesthetic and a more eccentric style are fused together in the new Atomic Lighting Tubes developed by young Polish designers of Emandes Studio.
Atomic Lighting Tubes is a system that allows users to connect lights in an endless number of layouts. Composed of glowing tubes with painted or chrome PVC fittings, the arrangement provides a platform for creating custom design features on the ceiling and wall. Influenced by the water, power and ventilation systems in buildings, the concept illuminates rooms as they flow with energy and life, running like a bloodstream throughout space.
The PVC fittings can emerge from any point on a wall or ceiling, take as many turns in whichever directions as one desires and terminate after one's chosen length. This is particularly convenient since the piping can cater to the existing electrical wiring of the house, requiring no rerouting of cables behind the drywall.
The zigzagging forms and lines that the Atomic Lighting Tubes take can be accentuated with a selection of colourful light bulbs to brighten up a space in terms of hue as well.
